I expect anime studios will for the most anime go for most-cheap-possible and not for best-possible, as that is not necessary but costly.ģD has inherent "economic logics". I think the point is not if 3D-cg at its very best can be good. And finally there are some that do it terribly, and they give a bad name to CG as whole. Then there are anime that do it really well. ![]() In fact, I'd say nearly all anime made in the past few years have used it somewhere. The anime's score, while probably not only because of the CG, speaks for itself. It was jarring to look at, it was distracting, it wasn't fluid, and basically everything that could be wrong with it was. On the other end of the spectrum, you have anime such as Hand Shakers, which had absolutely horrible CG. There are countless more examples of this being the case. ![]() Clearly, in those cases, it was done well and there was nothing wrong with it. ![]() Fate/Zero & and Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works, both praised as some of the most well animated series, used quite a bit of CG. There is, however, something wrong with poorly done or implemented CG.
